East Ayrshire Council is dedicated to being a zero carbon area and in pursuit of this ambition installed a renewable energy solution on the roof of the school.

The Council has invested a new state of the art, two storey school which will accommodate 278 pupils.

By installing a 50kWp solar PV solution on the roof of the school, the Council is on the path to achieve its ambition of being a zero carbon area. Not only will the system reduce carbon emissions by 20,982 kg each year it will also result in a 30% reduction in the school’s electricity bills.
